What is email?

Email stands for electronic mail.   Email is a method of exchanging digital messages from an author to one or more recipients.  I use email for school if I need to contact my teachers, or if I need to send myself links or presentations.  People use email for business, school, social activities, and to send out notices.  Good email etiquette: don't write in all caps, don't use email to discuss personal affairs, take care with abbreviations, and don't request delivery and read receipts.
